Everything you need to know about our celebration

📅 Do I need to attend all three days?

The 3-day celebration (Sept 11-13) is for guests staying at the venue hotel, which we've reserved exclusively for our wedding. If you're not staying at the hotel, you're warmly invited to join us for the ceremony on September 12th - please arrive after 3pm. We'll share the exact ceremony time with your formal invitation.

👗 What should I wear?

The dress code is elegant casual. For the ceremony, we suggest semi-formal attire. For the arrival day and farewell brunch, comfortable smart-casual is perfect. The venue is a farm hotel, so leave the stilettos at home - there will be grass and outdoor areas!

🏨 Is accommodation included?

We've exclusively booked the entire venue (Recanto da Paz Hotel Fazenda) for our celebration - it will be just our wedding guests! Accommodation at the venue is limited, so we'll be in touch about room availability. For guests not staying at the venue, we'll share nearby hotel recommendations with your invitation.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Can I bring additional guests or children?

We love your little ones! Children are welcome at our celebration. As for additional guests, please let us know in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Your formal invitation will specify the guests included.

☀️ What's the weather like in September?

September in Atibaia is the beginning of spring in Brazil! Expect mild temperatures around 15-25°C (60-77°F). Evenings can be cool, so bring a light jacket. It's generally dry, but we recommend having a light layer just in case.

🎁 What about gifts?

Your presence is the greatest gift! We don't have a registry – the only thing we ask is that you spend these 3 days celebrating with us. That's all we need.

Information for guests traveling to Atibaia, Brazil

Getting Here

Fly into São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), Brazil's largest airport. It's approximately 60km (1-1.5 hours) from the venue. We recommend planning your transportation ahead of time.

Transportation

From GRU airport, you can rent a car or use ride-sharing apps (Uber/99). Reach out if you need help with transportation options!

Where to Stay

We've exclusively booked Recanto da Paz for our celebration. Venue accommodation is for guests attending the full 3-day event. For ceremony-only guests, nearby hotels in Atibaia (10 min away) will be recommended with your invitation.

Visa Requirements

UK and EU citizens can visit Brazil visa-free for up to 90 days. US and Canadian citizens need a visa - apply online at the Brazilian consulate website. Your passport must be valid for 6+ months. Questions? Just ask us!

Currency & Payments

Brazil uses the Real (BRL). Credit cards are widely accepted. ATMs are available at the airport and in Atibaia. Notify your bank before traveling to avoid card blocks.

What to Pack

September is early spring - pack layers! Days are warm (25°C/77°F), evenings cooler (15°C/60°F). Bring comfortable shoes for outdoor areas and a light jacket for evening events.

Our Story

10 Years of Love and Adventure

2016

The Beginning

In São Paulo, two paths crossed and everything changed. We knew right away this was something special - moving in together and taking our first adventure to Chile. Little did we know this was just the beginning of a decade-long journey.

2017

A Bold Move

A life-changing job offer from Facebook meant moving to another hemisphere. We knew the distance might test our relationship, but we believed in what we had - and took the leap together.

2018

Getting Married

The year everything became official. A surprise proposal (watch the video!), and then Roberta took the bravest leap - leaving her career, her family, and everything familiar to start over in a new country without knowing the language. Some things are worth the risk.

2019

Exploring the World

Without a traditional wedding celebration, we decided to create our own memories - a romantic photo shoot in Paris. Our "honeymoon" took us through Venice and Rome, and somehow we managed to explore 7 countries that year.

2020

Putting Down Roots

We bought our first house and discovered we were expecting our first baby.

2021

Welcome Levy

Our greatest adventure yet - becoming parents. Levy arrived and changed everything, filling our home with joy, laughter, and a whole new kind of love.

2023

Welcome Leo

Just when we thought our hearts were full, Leo came along and proved there's always room for more love. Our little family was now complete - two boys, endless energy, and twice the joy (and trouble 😅)

2026

Celebrating 10 Years

Ten years of love, adventures, trips, and two amazing boys - time to celebrate with everyone we love. We hope to see you there!
